On Sunday, Derek had told us of brunch at the Antares being only $10. Since that’s really cheap, we decided to go. The brunch was amazing, there were four different stations for different foods, and it was very good. We couldn’t believe how cheap it was, until we got the bill, in which we learned Derek had gotten wrong information. -_- Twas quite irritating. But nothing could be done obviously so we had to suck it in and pay for it. It would’ve been nice if he had made sure he had heard right before we went there so we didn’t have to spend so much (technically anything at all really, we got enough snacks and cereal bars so we would only have to buy dinner each night), but it didn’t break any of out budgets so we accepted it. After brunch it was back to the dealer’s room for me and Tiff. All I wanted to get was a new bag and a FLOW CD to have signed. I ended up getting a really sweet bag, nice and big and durable with a lot of pockets, but none of the vendors had any CDs from FLOW, which was disappointing. Tiff ended up getting some Ranma ½ manga. We headed off to a discussion panel with FLOW, which was pretty nice. They were a fun group to have even without being able to speak English, and everyone at the panel was given a ticket to give us priority in the autograph line. Even better is that in the line they were selling CDs where FLOW had one of their songs on, so we were able to have them sign a CD insert after all. They made nice comments about my Mario shirt I was wearing which was really cool. We then headed up to see anime Press Your Luck which is always fun to watch. The host showed after the show that he had so much useless knowledge stacked in his brain it was amazing. We then caught up with Derek and went to dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse It turned out being a great choice, since they had a great special where you could choose from a list your appetizer, entrée, and dessert for only $11, and that still included a soup or salad. I ended up getting soup to start, had mozzarella sticks and a 15-layer lasagna, with a brownie for dessert. An awesome deal for such a great price, and none of us were even able to finish. We took the DART back to the hotel since it was getting dark and they didn’t feel like walking back. Since there wasn’t anything more we wanted to do really, Tiff and I went back to the room and played Stepmania while Derek went to play some Magic. We noticed that Derek forgot his key again and rolled our eyes. Tiff eventually passed out early so I started packing back up. I found some quarters left over from my day in Rochester, so I went down to the gaming room to give Derek his key so he wouldn’t have to wake us up, and try out Para Para finally. Para Para is great, I enjoyed it a lot and now wish there was a machine somewhere near me so I can play much more of it. Playing by moving your hands is nifty and I’d love to play more of it. On my way back to my room, in the elevator, I’m pretty sure I was talking with one of the singers in FLOW. He looked just like him (yes I can tell Asians apart from each other, hell for a time I could see the differences between Japanese, Chinese, and Koreans), made comments on my shirt, and we had a short conversation about Mario games, most notably Mario Kart. He had the same exact accent too, which really leads me to believe that he was one of the FLOW singers, which is just really awesome. I then finished packing what I could before heading off to bed.
Monday morning I got up early and finished packing. I said my goodbyes to Tiff and Derek and then headed to the airport in a taxi. Now that I knew what was allowed and not I took more with me on the flight, including my laptop where I got most of this typed up on. My last flight was delayed, but we made up for it in the air, and I got home when I was supposed to.
