A little pre-vacation, on Wednesday me and Chris (DDR buddy from Great Northern) drove up to Rochester for some dancing game action. We first stopped at an anime shop next door to Arena 51. That was an awesome shop, and it’s so great to see such a shop in CNY that imports stuff too. Arena 51 was next, to play on the ITG2 dedicab. Awesome cabinet and pads, sucky price. Technick was there when we got there, which was quite odd. He was really off his game though, and left not too long after we got there. The place itself is pretty sweet. There’s lots of PCs and tables set up for LANs, a couple setups for consoles, and some pinball machines, air hockey, and ITG2 in the back, with tables and chairs right there to keep your stuff on. After a couple hours, we traveled to Adventure Landing to play some DDR SuperNova with Boots. AL is like a kid’s playplace with an arcade, could’ve been a second home to me if I lived in that area in the distant past. SuperNova is quite fun, though the syncing errors can be very annoying and I can’t wait for the patch to be released. We then went back to Arena 51 to play with Red Dragon (Brandon) and KingOfLight (Dave) for a while before heading back home. All in all a fun day getting me lots of ITG scores and a nice way to kick off my vacation.
Thursday was my designated “chill-day”, to get calm and ready for the trip. I ended up doing a lot of cleaning, mostly inside and outside of my car. It is now shiny from the inside out. *_* I also finally finished watching Full Metal Alchemist, and it is simply amazing all the way to the end. I can’t wait to see the movie and see how various things pan out in the time between the series and movie. Before going to bed I made sure to go to the ATM to take out money for the whole trip to limit myself to.
