Arrival to Dallas, TX

Thursday morning, I actually bought a breakfast sandwich from the café on the train since I’m a sucker for them (as well as omlettes). The morning also marked another great event, storms down South that caused trees and such to fall on the tracks ahead and elsewhere in the area. Because of waiting for cleanup, we were still for about three hours, and slowed down another two because of all the rail traffic caused by the storms. I was supposed to arrive in Dallas at 1:30, I got there not long before 6. Thankfully, my bag made it there just fine, I expected something to go wrong. I played GBA as I waited for Tiff and Derek, who eventually found me and brought me to their place. The drive there was fun, as Derek was kind of scared of city driving, but then once we got to the right highway that would bring us back to their town, I finally saw one of the things I wanted to see again (I was in TX four years ago for a wedding), Texas driving. As we were getting closer to their town, I was thinking to myself that he was driving too conservatively for the state. Not more than 15 minutes later as we get to the town he accidentally runs a stop sign then jumps railroad tracks over a hill at least around 50 mph. Now THAT is what I wanted to see, they were shocked for a quick moment, I was like “Do it again!” heh. We went through the Jack in the Box drive thru for food to bring home (while in TX, I am referring to their place as home, since it was my home for a while) and got there ok. I really liked their place, posters everywhere, good setup, a very nice apartment. We ate and then Derek went to the gaming center (a place where you can play console/pc/card games) for a Magic tournament while Tiff and I stayed home watching Adult Swim and talked. After Aqua Teen, she was going to take me there to show me the place and play DDR, but Derek came before it ended, saying the tournament was cancelled since hardly anyone showed up. We all kept watching TV and eventually went to bed, me sleeping on the couch (the best bed I had in days).
