June 1st - June 9th, 2004

Hi everyone, and welcome to my web journal of my first anime convention, as well as my first big vacation on my own. After finishing typing out this whole thing, it ended up being 8 and a half pages on MS Word with 10 point font and single spaced, double between paragraphs. Since it ended up being longer than anything that I write for school, I decided to break up all the days of the trip in seperate pages to make it easier and less tedious to read. Overall, I had a very fun trip. Next time I’ll try getting ready for it earlier so I can take a plane to save a ton of time, but the train wasn’t too bad. Besides that, I don’t think I would change anything about the trip, except that I never figured out when and where the alt.fan.sailor-moon party was, since I really wanted to go there and meet a bunch of people who I’ve conversed with there for years now. I am glad to have finally met Tiff after five years of being great friends with her online, as well as Parakisu who I only barely knew beforehand from the forums, as well as his friend Lydia. All the people at the con were very nice people, and I think it was run very well, minus the few hours of no DDR. Chances are I’ll be going again next year, and hopefully I’ll be able to find myself going to some other cons too!
